Quickstart

Install Croo and meet Nova.

1. Install Croo

Croo is in closed beta. Join the waitlist, and your invitation brings the install guide and your access. Point your agent at the install guide from your invitation. It installs everything in one folder. Runs on macOS and Ubuntu.

Croo runs as a local web service. Only the engines you use see your prompt.

What it does
Your agent installs Croo as a local web service in one folder and touches nothing outside it. When it finishes, open http://localhost:9875 in your browser. Your agent verifies the release against its SHA-256 before installing.
Best setup
Best on a machine that stays on, like a Mac mini. Your agents are always online and you can reach them from any device.

2. Meet Nova

Nova is your Croo custodian, there from the first minute. Ask her anything, or hand her the chores: adding agents, creating projects, troubleshooting.

Examples

Just ask, in your own words. For example:

  • “Hey Nova, could you set up a coordinator agent named Kelly using the AGY engine in a project called Croo Rays located '/Users/croo/projects/croo_rays'?”
  • “Nova, please create a new project called Shop Site and add two agents: Jack on Codex as lead coder, and Jim on Grok as UI specialist.”
  • “Nova, could you kindly write up a bug report on that incident? I wish to share it.”
  • “Nova, I would like to hire a game designer. Put in a template for the identity, given the persona stated.”
  • “Nova, I didn't set up Telegram during installation, but I want to now. Can you walk me through it?”

If something's off

Ask Nova. Describe what you see in plain words and she'll take it from there. Ask her to write up a bug report, and send it along with your feedback.

Quickstart F.A.Q

Claude, Codex, AGY and Grok — your agents run on the engine subscriptions you already have. Each engine is good at different things; chapter 8 of the manual is the field guide.

No. Croo runs on your own Claude, Codex, AGY and Grok subscriptions.

Yes. You choose the engine for each agent, so one project can have agents on different engines.

Ask Nova. She walks you through the setup step by step, until the first message lands on your phone.
